I still have schizophrenia episodes even on meds. Why? #mentalhealth #schizophrenia #shorts
I have schizophrenia, but I still have episodes even though I’m on meds. Let’s talk about it. Meds reduce symptoms, but they don’t erase the illness. Breakthrough episodes can happen if you’re stressed, overwhelmed, not sleeping well, or maybe your meds might need a little bit of a tweak. Schizophrenia naturally is very up and down, and meds just keep things manageable. Having an episode doesn’t mean that your meds are failing. It means that your brain is just doing what this illness does. Of course, you can always bring it up with your doctor, but definitely you’re not doing anything
I still have schizophrenia episodes even on meds. Why?
Because meds reduce symptoms — they don’t erase the illness. Breakthrough episodes can still happen if you’re stressed, overwhelmed, not sleeping great, or if your dose needs a tweak. Schizophrenia naturally goes up and down, and meds mainly keep things manageable. Having an episode doesn’t mean your treatment is failing — it just means your brain is doing what this illness does. Always bring it up to your doctor, but you’re not doing anything wrong.

Meds reduce the intensity, but your energy and character makes up the difference. Hope those suffering from this illness, trust that character is the best medicine.
Yes, how true. Mental illness and physical illness. Medication does make a difference but you still have the illness with you its just like you said it's manageable. ❤
Thank you for your videos ❤️ I have medication and it has helped me to go on. I've had psychosis but now I live on My own. I've noticed during years that also if you move into a New home can also bring symptons. It's a big change To move another place and the deceade doesn't "like" big changes. Thank you for giving information I think it's very important People know about hallucions. Best wishes from Finland 🙏
