SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – In response to Sunday’s (April 19) mass shooting in Cedar Grove that left eight children dead and two women seriously hurt, Brentwood Hospital is holding a free mental health clinic to support the community.
Brentwood is partnering with local community organizations to provide free, immediate, and confidential mental health services to anyone in need who has been impacted by the shooting.
The free event will offer mental health screenings, emotional support, and mental health resources. Services will be provided by licensed clinicians who are trained in trauma-informed care.

No appointments are required. Walk-ins are welcome. All services are free. The event will be held Tuesday, April 21, Wednesday, April 22, and Thursday, April 23 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Shreve Memorial Library, located at 8303 Line Ave. in Shreveport. Free parking is also available.
