The community is invited to participate in a public meeting to discuss the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) Three Year Plan for Fiscal Years 2026/2027 through 2028/2029, including obtaining feedback on the department’s plans to allocate funding towards behavioral health programming. The Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) imposes a 1% income tax on personal income in excess of $1 million and addresses a broad continuum of early intervention and service needs to more effectively support the behavioral health system.

As directed by the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA), the Nevada County Behavioral Health Department is inviting all stakeholders to review and comment on Nevada County’s BHSA Three Year Plan for FY 2026/2027 through FY 2028/2029 and Annual Progress Report for FY 2024/2025 for a period of 30 days from March 31st, 2026 through April 30th, 2026.
