NEWLIN — Pennsylvania State Police are requesting the public’s assistance into the whereabouts of Tuften Demar Green, 31, who has an active warrant involving an armed robbery earlier this spring that resulted in attempted murder of the first degree.

The incident took place westbound on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at mile marker 324.9 in Tredyffrin Township on March 28.
According to court documents, Green is a resident of Drexel Hill. Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
Troop J’s Embreeville Criminal Investigation team determined that Green, along with Drexel Hill resident Roberto Morel, 51, Philadelphia resident Terrell Adams, 38, had been following a Toyota Sienna on the Pennsylvania Turnpike during the evening of March 28, according to police.
When troopers arrived on scene shortly after 7:30 p.m. March 28, they saw that a Toyota Sienna, with a North Carolina license plate, had been struck by multiple bullets, police said.
The driver, 28, had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Paoli Hospital in Willistown and eventually discharged in stable condition.
Police said there were two passengers in the vehicle, the driver’s wife, 29, and the couple’s three-year-old son.
Six rounds were fired into the victim’s Toyota Sienna during this incident, police said.
While operating a Chevrolet Suburban, police said Green and Adams utilized red and blue lights to force the victims to pull off the side of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Morel had also been following the Chevrolet Suburban in another vehicle, police said.
Green and Adams approached the Toyota Sienna and told the victims they were police officers. When the victims became suspicious, Green shot the operator in the chest, police said. Multiple shots were then fired at the victim’s vehicle as it drove away. After the shooting ended, Green, Adams and Morel fled the scene.
Morel and Adams were taken into custody by state troopers on April 21. Magisterial District Judge Lauren Holt denied both men bail.
Both men have been charged with attempted murder of the first degree, conspiracy to commit criminal homicide, aggravated assault, robbery, kidnapping to facilitate a felony, Impersonating a public servant and multiple other related charges. According to court records, both men are still awaiting their preliminary hearings in Tredyffrin Township.
Embreeville Criminal Investigation’s active warrant for Green charges him with the same criminal offenses.
Interviews were conducted with the driver and his wife. Police said the family had driven to Philadelphia from North Carolina on March 26 to visit the husband’s sister. The family had been heading back home to North Carolina when the near fatal incident occurred.
Green is also wanted by the Pennsylvania State Probation and Parole Board for a violation of state parole per absconding a weapons offense conviction.
Police said Green’s criminal history includes simple assault, aggravated assault, robbery, accident involving death involving a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, firearm violations and narcotics violations.
Green is African American, 6-feet five inches tall, weighs 250 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
