Pony Up Marysville Match Day is set for Friday, May 1, offering a one-day opportunity to boost donations for local causes, including mental health services. The annual event, organized through the Marysville Community Foundation, provides a 50 percent match on all donations made that day, while matching funds are available. Organizers say the goal is to increase community support and expand access to needed services.

This year, Pawnee Mental Health Services is focusing on raising funds for art-based therapy programs. These programs use creative activities to help individuals process emotions, reduce stress, and build confidence. Supporters say art therapy can be especially helpful for children and adults who struggle to express their feelings through words.

Donations can be made in person at the Helvering Community Center in Marysville from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 1. Hourly drawings will award $100 to a participating fund chosen by selected donors attending the event. Online giving will be available throughout the day, and mailed donations will also qualify for matching funds if they are postmarked by May 1 and received by May 8.

Participation is open to donors both in and outside the Marysville area, with all contributions supporting expanded access to mental health care in the region.
