The community is invited to tour the new Seaside Women’s Care clinic and meet the team of providers during a special open house held on Wednesday, May 13, from 2-5 p.m., in honor of Mother’s Day.
Seaside Women’s Care is the home of the West Wing Clinic and South Peninsula Obstetrics and Gynecology, two practices which united last fall to provide “seamless, comprehensive, integrated care for every stage of life,” a May 1 press release says.
According to the release, the newly remodeled clinic was designed with patient comfort and privacy in mind, and patients will find a team of board-certified OB/GYNs, certified nurse midwives and behavioral health specialists ready to support their health across every season of life, from their first annual exam to post-menopause care “and every milestone in between.”
Seaside Women’s Care now also offers integrated behavioral health services, supported by grant funding from the State of Alaska. Services include brief counseling sessions with the clinic’s licensed professional counselor; assistance with finding a therapist for longer-term care; and care coordination such as assistance with signing up for programs, connecting to community resources, and finding the right support for each individual’s needs.
According to the release, all women who receive primary care at Seaside are eligible to participate in this program and access services.
Seaside Women’s Care is located at South Peninsula Hospital, 4300 Bartlett Street, inside Entrance C. There is family parking available across from the entrance.
