(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital has added a new licensed clinical social worker.
Misty Dillon, LCSW, has more than 20 years of experience in mental health care.
She has extensive experience in supporting people who have anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use, and other mental health concerns impacting daily life.
“She has also worked closely with children and families involved in foster care, as well as individuals navigating court-ordered services,” DCMH stated.
“I strive to help people help themselves,” Misty shared. “We work together so individuals feel supported, confident, and equipped with the tools they need.”
Dillon uses evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. Misty focuses on helping individuals build practical skills and strategies they can use in their daily lives.
She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Indiana University South Bend and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bethel University.
DCMH completed the 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), which highlighted mental health as a significant and growing need in Decatur County. Community members, when polled, identified mental health as a top priority, and data showed gaps in access to care.
“We are excited to welcome Misty,” said Laura Walsman, DCMH Practice Operations Director. “Her experience across multiple care settings, combined with her compassionate and practical approach, will be a valuable addition.”
Misty looks forward to supporting patients on their mental health journey and helping individuals and families feel empowered in their care.
She is accepting new patients ages 8 years and older at Decatur County Primary Care, located at 718 N. Lincoln St., Greensburg, IN 47240. To schedule an appointment, call 812-222-DOCS (3627).
