LONDON — The London-Laurel County 911 Center has announced a new partnership with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and Cumberland River Behavioral Health aimed at providing additional support and resources for individuals experiencing mental health crises, emotional distress, substance use crises, or thoughts of suicide.
According to the 911 Center, the partnership will allow tele-communicators to connect callers with trained crisis professionals who can provide immediate assistance, guidance and follow-up services when appropriate. Officials said the collaboration is designed to ensure individuals receive the most appropriate response based on their specific needs.
