Humidity is climbing and rain chances increase Friday. The best chance for rain arrives around 4 p.m. and continues into Friday evening with scattered storms bringing heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds up to 40 mph.

Saturday will feel very muggy with hit-and-miss storms early morning and afternoon. Most of the area stays drier than wet. Sunday is dry.

Next week brings summer-like conditions with scattered storms Monday and Tuesday. A significant warm-up arrives mid-week into next weekend with our first 90-degree day of 2026 possible between next Thursday and Friday. Heat index values could reach 100 degrees — stay hydrated and check on family and neighbors.

Relief arrives mid-June with cooler highs in the 70s.
