The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period June 5 – 11, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Domestic Non-Violent – Gatewood Way – In reference to a verbal dispute between two subjects. One stated that two glass containers were thrown at his feet by the other. Report taken.
Vehicle Accident / D.U.I. – Highway 78 East Bound / Baker Street – In reference to subject operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and causing a single vehicle accident. Subject was released on a copy of his citation at the hospital where he was kept to treat his injuries. GEARS report completed.
Domestic Dispute – Pine Park Street – In reference to complainant wanting his girlfriend kicked out of his residence due to a verbal dispute. It was determined that she had established residency at the address and complainant was advised of the eviction process. While on scene it was also discovered that she had an active arrest warrant out of Dekalb county. She was placed under arrest and turned over to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office without incident.
Domestic Dispute – W Spring St. Piedmont Walton – In reference to a potential domestic dispute reported by Piedmont Walton. Subject arrived at the ER with a head injury. Subject stated she fell while in the shower after being asked multiple times by officers. The event happened in the county.
Fight – Tall Oaks East- In reference to a named subject getting into a physical confrontation with subject in front of the residence. When asked, both parties declined to press charges. It was discovered that one had an active arrest warrant out of Clarke county. He was placed under arrest and transported to the WCSO without incident. He was also served with a criminal trespass notice for a period of two years.
Subject with a Weapon – King St and Perry St – In reference to an unknown black female brandishing a knife at two subjects after bringing her food. The subject was gone when officers arrived. Report taken.
Suspicious vehicle – Hwy 78 & Cheek Road- Reference to a wrong way driver headed towards the city on Hwy 78. Area checked, negative contact.
Assault – Well Star West Ga Hospital – In reference to a patient at Ridgeview being assaulted C- Shift had already taken the report.
Domestic Dispute – South Madison Ave- In reference to a physical altercation between a named subject and his girlfriend. Probable cause was developed and the subject was determined to be the predominant aggressor. It was also discovered that he had an active arrest warrant out of Clarke County. He was charged with Battery (FV), cruelty to children in the 3rd degree and turned over to the WCSO without incident.
Mental Health Subject – Launius Ave – In reference to subject having a mental health crisis at his residence. Contact was made with Advantage who stated that the level of care he needs was higher greater than they could provide. Subject was transported to Piedmont Walton under a voluntary 1013 in lieu of charges.
Mental Subject – South Madison Avenue – In reference to subject having a mental episode. No crimes were committed on location, and subject agreed to go to Piedmont Walton for a voluntary mental evaluation. Subject was transported to Piedmont Walton and turned over to the staff without incident.
Reckless Driver – In reference to a F-150 serving over the road way and hitting a cyclist. Negative contact with the biker or Truck. Bolo given to Barrow County.
Hit and Run – In reference to the above call contact made with the cyclist arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and transported to Walton county jail.
Suspicious Vehicle – Alcovy St. Monroe Golf and Country Club; In reference to an unoccupied F350 parked in the parking lot after hours.
Vehicle Unlock – W Spring St; Piedmont Walton – Vehicle unlocked no damage
Civil Issue – E Marable St – In reference to subject calling in reference to a civil issue regarding his deceased father’s property. Remedies advised report taken.
Welfare Check – Unisia Dr.; Astemo – In reference to complainant making concerning statements over the phone with the Division of Child Support earlier this date. Complainant resides in Madison but the complainant advised that she would be at work in Monroe. It was discovered that complainant actually works in Watkinsville. Complainant was spoken with and agreed to speak with a Deputy. Oconee County Sheriff’s Office was notified.
Juvenile Problem – S. Madison Ave; Felicia’s Kitchen – Reference complainant reporting his son sending an AI generated photo to son’s friend. The photo contained son holding a handgun. Son stated no threats had been made between parties. Son sent the photo after his friend began a conversation involving firearms. No crime occurred, incident documented.
Dispute – South Side – Reference verbal dispute over the phone between subject and her mother. No threats were made. Remedies advised.
Scam – S Madison Ave; Felker Park – In reference to complainant receiving a phone call from an unknown individual, claiming to be law enforcement, telling her to go to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Complainant advised she did not provide any sensitive information to the subject and hung up.
Dispute – G.W Carver Dr – Reference verbal dispute between two subjects. Parties were separated and remedies advised.
EMS Assist – Plaza Dr.; DaVita Dialysis – In reference to a male subject unconscious with no pulse. Turned over to EMS.
Dispute – Gatewood Way – In reference to a verbal dispute between subject and her step daughter regarding music volume. Music turned down and parties were separated.
Other Law – Davis St. – In reference to the complainant hearing a child screaming. It was determined that the child in question was having an autistic episode and was okay.
Suspicious Vehicle – Highway 138 at Starbucks – In reference to a male subject on location since 0900 hours. Contact made with subject at Harry’s Marathon and all was okay.
Accident with Pedestrian – Pavilion Parkway – Accident with pedestrian. GEARS report completed.
Dispute – Cook Plc – In reference to a civil issue between two residents of the same residence. One female subject wanted the other female subject gone. She was informed that she would have to go through the court system and was informed of how the eviction process went. All okay.
Vehicle Lockout – 140 Blaine St – Vehicle unlocked no damage.
Suspicious Person – Hwy 138; Starbucks – In reference to Subject being confrontational and making employees and customers feel uneasy. Subject was not on scene when officers arrived. Subject’s vehicle was improperly parked blocking a handicap parking spot, vehicle was towed by Taylor’s wrecker, impound inventory completed.
Noise Complaint – Aycock Ave – The Jax – In reference to a disturbing peace call placed to 911. I arrived and spoke to both parties. The female subject has two young boys and they were playing. Both parties were informed of the quiet time hours and that even then they need to try and be mindful of making excessive noise. All okay.
Agency Assist – Unisia Dr – In reference to locating subject, due to him causing a disturbance at the Walton Inn. He was located, and issued a criminal trespass warning by WCSO. All ok.
Fire Assist – Perry St – In reference to smoke inside the residence, coming for a bathroom fan. Turned over to Monroe Fire Department.
Accident – S Madison / E Church St – In reference to a two vehicle accident, no injuries. GEARS report completed.
Animal Complaint – Hwy 78 / Marable St Bridge – Reference to a K-9 in the roadway, negative contact.
911 Hang Up – Breedlove Drive – Contact made with homeowners, all ok on scene.
Vehicle Unlock – Clubside Ct. – Vehicle unlocked no damage.
911 Hang Up – GW Carver Dr – Static on the line, all okay on location.
9-11 Hang-up – Douglas St – Weather related. All ok on scene.
Elder Abuse – Walton Rd – In reference to subject on the front porch of her neighbor’s residence stating she needed help and did not have power at her house. After further investigation it was discovered that subject was potentially being abused and having money stolen from her account by a subject. Subject was transported to the Police Department by a family friend and turned over to CID. Report taken
9-11 Hang-up – Ammons Bridge Rd – No contact made at door.
EMS Assist – South Madison – In reference to a female having a seizure in a vehicle that came to rest in a yard. Vehicle was moved to Felker Park. Female was turned over to EMS.
Suspicious Person – Towler St. – In reference to the suspicious person, the complainant advised a strange man was on his porch. Contact was made with subject and he was advised to stay off the complainant’s porch.
Suspicious Person – Hwy 78 and W Spring – In reference to subject standing near the bridge. Contact was made with subject and he advised he was walking to the hospital to wait for his ride. All Ok.
Traffic Stop / Arrest – CVS- Driver was taken into custody for hands free and driving while license suspended. Released on a copy of the citation.
Direct Traffic – W Spring St. at Pinecrest Dr. – Directed traffic while DOT took down the light. DOT brought the light back up and all was okay.
