MeRT Treatment Helps Mental Health

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and one new treatment called Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy, or MeRT, is being used to treat PTSD, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and autism. Dr. Julie Kim, Brain Treatment Center Medical Director, joined Fox 5 to elaborate on what MeRT is and how it works.

  1. What are the side effects of having electromagnetic waves sent to your brain cells? They sent electromagnets which stimulate neurons but they can also flood or poof off neurotic modes and thats can lead to… there are many questions I would like answered before I can consider for my autistic nephew.
