Lakeside Behavioral Health System
Since 1967, Lakeside Behavioral Health System has provided specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Memphis and Mid-South region. The 305-bed facility, located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serves as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors.
Lakeside’s comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illnesses, suicide intervention and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.
In addition to helping our patients, Lakeside is committed to helping those in our community understand and recognize the complexities often associated with behavior health issues or addictive diseases.

this is a straight up lie this place has me traumatized with the way they treated me and so many other patients and they do nothing to help you. if anything, they just put me in a worse state of depression. they made me feel guilty for everything my parents and brother put me through. this place is pure evil and i will never forgive the tragedy they caused in my life. you are treated like the world's biggest nuisance and you dont get any help whatsoever. it is disgusting and i hope the people who run this place burn in hell and i will gladly dance on their graves. fuck you for ruining an already ruined life
Cognitive Therapy WORKS !
I eloped the first 24 HR I was there because of a group panic attack I went through a window. 4 staff members held my limbs while 1 member bounced on my stomach till I lost my breath then he'd grab tight so that I'd have to dislocate my arm from the socket to turn and get a breath then he'd start over bouncing again. all this was happening in the street at the light on 64hwy. I had to speak to 100 staff members to be moved through the program that were all in one room and had staged it as though it was a testimony for your treatment but I was the only one who spoke about their experience trust me I blessed them and still do.
I hope this message will help someone when there admitted to understand drastic actions call for drastic measures.

Dude FUCK this place! You are NOT human when you come here! I was here twice and the second time I dreaded it. The doc said that you maintain your rights and can direct your treatment. That is BULLSHIT! Fuck this “hospital”, there are 3 people in a room and you can’t have shit! They took my family pictures away and I STILL haven’t gotten them back! Everyone here is a fucking liar and an asshole! It’s all a show! Do NOT let your children come here! Fight it tooth and nail, because I had to FAKE getting better twice just to fucking leave. If anything, this place made my mental health WORSE!

Okay first off I went here when I was 17 and I’m 21 now and the whole park thing is a lie the whole time I’ve as there I didn’t see no big park theme or the pond or lake or whatever u call it we were in are rooms or doing and activity and as far as we went was outside where the kid playground was and that was it there was no walking trail that was for sure and when they were done with us we set in our rooms while listening to the people who are supposed to work there say they were just there for a check out of all the staff there miss kiosha is the only one who actually paid mind to any of the patients and then 2 days before I was released they fired her because she she got in and argument with a boy who had anger issues and she told him he needed his ass whooped and they fired her none of the other people who worked there actually took there time with us but I had a good bond with the girls I roomed with
I've only heard bad things about Lakeside.
The only saving grace about the facility is Dr. Boyd.

Lakeside is Hell on earth for patients. The deaths, abuse, filth, financial drain, neglect and more from that place is enough to drive anyone insane. Never consider leaving your loved ones under the care of this nightmare of a place. Lakeside has ruined many many lives and needs to be shutdown and demolished. All locations. The media and more will hopefully expose this place. Lakeside is trying to put on a good look on the outside, but behind closed doors away from your loved ones, its a totally different dynamic im sure. Their reviews and seeing how my friends as a kid turned out after they were under "treatment" says it all.
How do I log into my work email???
I don't know why some people glorify Lakeside!!! You guys really need to wake up!! They will force you to stay in your rooms and they will give you a limited amount of space to roam. The people working there are not very professional or polite. Lakeside is not a very helpful place and I don't recommend going there.

I was there in and out as a kid in the 90’s that place is hell and I’m still dealing with the damage it caused being strapped to a bed and given a shot in the butt to calm down should not happen to a 6 year old child that place was hell
