Covington officer’s bodycam footage of teen dropped off at mental healthcare facility
10 News is investigating after a complaint states that a Covington officer left a child unattended outside a mental health facility early Saturday morning.
Bro I would have booked as soon as officer opened that door. It’s not resisting arrest if you’re escaping a psychiatric facility…. You’re just a patient. You can’t help yourself. You were delivered. (gotta love that phrasing right? Like the poor kid is a box of chocolates or something….).
Might as well dash the 7-Eleven try to buy a pack of cigarettes to barter for beer with the homeless guy outside . (that’s why I did it when I first got out of county at 17 lol)
Just Imagine if even 10% of the BILLIONS of our TAXPAYER money that has been getting dispensed to evil, GEORGE SOROS-owned NGO's were NOT given to that devil who is literally the one intentionally CAUSING much of the mental illness in our youth, and instead given to mental Health institutions to provide quality healing therapy.
The kid is supposed to be in an emergency room before being transmitted to a psych ward while he waits for an open space into the mental hospital. The cop is stupid. He js left the kid there.. Horrible being.
The sad fact is so many people in these offices are so incapable of thinking beyond a checklist they fail to take care of the patient. The LEO should have made the call to his supervisor before leaving the child in the entrance to figure out next steps.

I completely agree that the kid needed comfort and reassurance because a moment is scary. It's heartbreaking. That's why the situation is so frustrating it shows how our system is failing everyone involved. We're asking a police officer, trained for enforcement and safety, to perform a social worker's role. He likely stayed quiet because his priority was to get the kid to the hospital safely without saying the wrong thing, which is a limitation of his training, not necessarily his character. The real failure isn't that this officer wasn't consoling; it's that we don't have a better, more compassionate system to handle these crises, so the police are put in impossible positions."

This poor child deserves better. I’m so angry that he is treated like an object. It brings back memories from when I was his age in a mental health hospital. It’s a lot like Stranger Things if you know what I mean. They won’t help this amazing young boy. He probably ended up seeing things that no child his age should see. I pray to God he’s ok now. After what I went through it took me 13 years to talk about all that I experienced. I hope this boy was able to tell someone right after he got out if he saw scary things.😢❤️

Being in a mental facility is very traumatizing especially when the cops bring you. I think that makes it even worse. They should require social workers to get involved at this point not the police. Maybe the police can escort with social worker but the social worker is trained to handle cases like this.
This kid reminds me of myself at that age…..i was chubbier and had alot more agression but ultimately i went thru this. Now the fact that the kids parents aint there is wild……if my kids ever have this issue i will be right by his side thru it all!
