NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Texas-born Country Star Louie TheSinger and more are joining in to spotlight how horses can play a role in mental health support.

Horses for Mental Health is supporting 130 vetted organizations across the United States and in six additional countries this month to expand access to mental health and well-being services that incorporate horses. The campaign’s message centers on “Real People. Real Impact. Real Change. Bringing healing to humans and purpose to horses,” along with “Horses Help People Heal.”

The Texas-born country singer, songwriter and touring artist is joining the Fifth Annual campaign during the month of May, joining horse-loving actors, journalists, authors, musicians and world champion equestrians.

Since 2022, Horses for Mental Health celebrity ambassadors have helped raise visibility for the campaign, which has collectively raised over $2 million for local programs that keep 100% of the funds they raise. Participating nonprofit charity partners are listed across the U.S. and in Canada, Ireland, Australia, Ukraine, Costa Rica and Zimbabwe.

Louie TheSinger’s music videos feature footage of his connection to his horses.

Buddy and I are honored to be saddling up and filming for Horses For Mental Health.” The singer says. “I’ve been open about my depression in the past and have said, whether I’m on stage or in the saddle, I’m the same vato from Ft. Worth Texas. People always ask how I stay grounded, and I always tell them aside from family, time spent with the horses completes me. When I first met Buddy, a lot of people would tell me ‘you saved that horse’, but I was like, he’s what’s saving me.

Actor, producer and race car driver Antonio Sabato Jr. is also taking part.

From the time I was six, horses have been a profound part of my life, embodying a spiritual connection that has shaped who I am. Growing up in a family immersed in the world of Western movies, my father’s passion for storytelling on horseback allowed me to forge a deep bond with these majestic creatures. They’ve always provided me with a sense of comfort and tranquility, serving as both companions and mentors.” Sabato said. “Owning horses has enriched my life in countless ways, teaching me patience and empathy, while their calming presence has been a source of solace during challenging times. Truly, horses are not just animals to me; they are incredible beings that resonate with my spirit,
