The Neighborhood Center

HERKIMER, N.Y. — A new center is changing how mental health and substance use crises are handled in the Mohawk Valley.

The Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center (ICSC), launched by the Neighborhood Center, is one of only 12 such centers in New York State, according to the center.

The ICSC provides immediate, on-site care for people experiencing mental health or substance use crises, offering stabilization services for up to 24 hours.

The center serves Oneida, Herkimer, Schoharie, Otsego, Fulton and Montgomery counties, expanding access to behavioral health support in a region where demand is growing.
