This week on “In Focus,” we explore the state of mental health in Wisconsin. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. It started more than 70 years ago to help fight stigma, provide support, and educate people on mental wellness.

Mary Madden, executive director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness Southeast Wisconsin, joined us to discuss the role the regional chapter plays in helping Wisconsinites overcome mental challenges, while making sure more people are able to reduce isolation, build community connections, and overcome any fears or stigmas to seek out the assistance they may need.
