MIAMI — The Miami-Dade branch of the National Alliance on Mental Illness held its annual Walk for Mental Health Awareness on Saturday morning.

It’s the sixth year the walk has taken place. Organizers held the event at loanDepot Park in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood.

The event aims to reduce the stigma around mental health by bringing together the community.

Mayors Eileen Higgins and Daniella Levine Cava, of the city and county respectively, were there.

So too was Miami Heat forward Keshad Johnson.

Visit the NAMI website for more information on the event.
