Mental health resources from across East Texas will be gathered in Carthage later this month during the upcoming Panola County Mental Health Resource Fair.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Frances B. Ross Ballroom on the campus of Panola College.

Hosted through a partnership between Panola County and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, the fair is designed to connect residents with local and regional mental health support services and resources.

According to organizers, more than 20 vendors are expected to participate in the event, offering information related to mental wellness, youth development, family services, crisis intervention, healthcare access and other community support programs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with practitioners, educators, service providers and organizations serving East Texas communities.

“This event is about helping people learn what resources are available and reminding our community that support exists,” organizers said in a press release. “Whether someone is seeking services for themselves, a family member, or simply wanting to learn more, we hope attendees leave feeling informed and encouraged.”
