MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Two mental health providers are coming together under one roof to expand access to care in the Morgantown community.

Earlier Thursday afternoon, the Morgantown Therapy Co-op, the new home for Mindful Mountain Therapy and Yellow Birch Therapy, held a ribbon-cutting for their grand opening celebration.

The co-op brings together counselors and mental health professionals from both practices in a shared space designed to make therapy and mental health services more accessible and collaborative for members of the community.

Their office is located at 318 Chestnut Street in the heart of downtown Morgantown and just a short walk from WVU’s campus, providing a convenient practice location for students and staff alike.

“Having the location close to here for us has many benefits. The biggest benefit is that it is close to students. Close to really anyone who is interested in therapy. Something that I’ve personally noticed is more people are becoming open to therapy, which is great,” Licensed Professional Counselor with Morgantown Therapy Co-Op, Leesa Jackson-Peairs, said.

While the Morgantown Therapy Co-op does not have an official page just yet, you can find out more about Mindful Mountain and Yellow Birch Therapy on their respective webpages.
