HELENA, Mont. — More Behavioral Health Clinics head to Treasure State.
The Certified Community behavioral Health Clinic Medicaid Demonstration Program is a four-year federal program with a goal to create clinics that are available to Montanans who need mental health or substance abuse care, regardless of their housing status or ability to pay.
Montana was one of 10 states selected for the program with a goal to reduce the need for short term grants.
“Securing this funding is a major support for our ongoing work to overhaul and rebuild Montana’s behavioral health system,” said Gov. Gianforte. “By establishing a sustainable, long-term payment system, we are eliminating the uncertainty of time-limited grants and empowering our local clinics to deliver care to Montanans struggling with addiction or managing mental health conditions.”
