TUCSON, Ariz. (KPHO/Gray News) — A mental health counselor is accused of child sex crimes, and federal investigators believe there are more victims.
Xiomar Diaz, 33, was arrested for allegedly creating child sexual abuse material involving at least one victim who lives in Tucson, Arizona.
Diaz, who worked with children as a counselor at a behavioral health provider, was arrested following a joint investigation by the Tucson Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security.
Investigators said he used the usernames “velander12” and “Xixi” while communicating with children online.
Because Diaz worked with or near children, authorities are asking for help identifying any potential victims who may have had contact with him.
Anyone whose child or a child they know had contact with Diaz is asked to call the ICE Tip Line at 866-DHS-2-ICE, submit a tip through ICE’s online tip form or contact local law enforcement.
