hi i’m kim laird and i’m therapist here at behavioral health services i’ve been here since 2007. and hello i’m leah rabikowski and i’m also a therapist here at behavioral services and i started here in 2017. made you decide to enter this field well people just fascinate me and if i could help people in any point in time accomplish their goals and make a difference in their life then they’re just that’s just a bonus i too have always been fascinated by people and particularly the dynamics of relationships and how people communicate with one another so being able to be helpful with change when people are stuck in their communication i always thought that would be interesting and has turned out to be very beneficial i think and been a great interest of mine so i think some of the strengths we have here at mcdonough district include we have a very varied staff with a great deal of experience everybody has different expertise ranging from working with children to utilizing group therapy to addressing addictions we have two therapists that utilize emdr which is a type of service used for people that have experienced trauma so i think that’s what makes us very unique in that again the number of people we have and the diversity of our staff you
