Newport Mental Health has announced its 2026 schedule of signature fundraising events, three gatherings the nonprofit says will help underwrite no-cost mental health and substance use care across Newport County.

Proceeds from the events benefit Newport Mental Health’s Annual Fund, which last year helped provide $1.2 million in no-cost care to children, families and individuals in need.

The season kicks off with the Drive for Mental Health Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 22, at 1 p.m. at The Aquidneck Club. The event gives participants a rare opportunity to play the private championship course overlooking Narragansett Bay. Horan Building Company returns as presenting sponsor. Registration is open at drive-for-mental-health.perfectgolfevent.com.

Mah Jongg for Mental Health follows on Wednesday, July 22, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at IYRS Restoration Hall. The summer evening features lively play, connection and friendly competition. Crak Bam Dotsie School of Mah Jongg joins this year as presenting sponsor. Registration opens May 18 at newportmentalhealth.org.

The signature event of the season is Soaring: A Benefit to Lift Up Newport Mental Health, set for Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at the Newport Beach House. The reimagined gala will feature cocktails and dinner overlooking First Beach, followed by auctions and a program centered on connection, storytelling and purpose. Tickets will be available in June at newportmentalhealth.org.

“Newport Mental Health announces its 2026 signature events, each offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact while enjoying an unforgettable experience,” the organization said in announcing the lineup. “By attending or sponsoring, you support Newport Mental Health’s mission to ensure that everyone who lives, works, or studies in Newport County has access to high-quality mental health and substance use care, regardless of ability to pay.”
