I have Incorporated movement into my daily life. I also do 25 and 30 lb weights every other day. I will be 68 in June and I find that once I start lifting I feel motivated immediately to keep doing so. But I do like walking fast and kind of a slow jog everyday plus stretching plenty of stretching period in front of the TV often.
thats the truth baby you are so right it is the best drug you can get and its free nice work ❤💪🙏🏄🏋♂🚣♂🤸♀
You cracked me up @5:45
I don't know. I've been training for a half marathon last year, and training-wise I was doing great, but stress-wise… I was tired all day and started to burn out because I couldn't meet deadlines and because it was hard to concentrate. Instead of being more awake, I was sleepy and with my body aching all the time. I found that doing little to no workout makes me feel so much better. I'd rather eat what I need for my daily caloric spending than work out a lot and have to eat accordingly, which is another thing that took a lot of my time. I didn't even have time for my partner, and literally the whole reason we both work hard is to have a better life together, but it was me waking up, going to the gym, coming from work, cooking, watching an hour of TV together, then bed, repeat. That's not life.
To me, doing 30 minutes of exercise every day isn't enough and can still be stressful if you have time constraints like I did. Don't get me wrong: I loved working out every day and achieving goals, but I noticed that I need A LOT of free time to do it properly. I need to have a good pre- and post-workout stretching session and then calm down after a nice shower and not running to get work or worse: going after work when I'm mentally drained to then run home and make dinner. And this was the only time that I actually saw some progress physically both superficially and regarding my endurance.
I don't do classes. They don't work. They only keep you "healthy", but you don't improve that much and again, you need pre and post stretching if you don't want to be stiff and with a lot of pain afterwards, then run to the shower, get dressed and go to work.
For me to go in the morning means that I have to wake up way earlier which means I have to go to bed really early and, as I said, that gives me no down time with my partner, who is my family.
These are "AMAZING" Videos … Am currently "exercising" with Physiotherapist to "beat" brain 🧠 injury
I've done sport all my life and for the last 20 years been cycling. I'm 58 weigh 58 kg and discovered ZWIFT 2 years ago. Cycling indoors or in my pain cave every day doing group rides, famous mountain climbs and just doing what I feel like on each morning. It's a routine and with a RHR of 36 and no meds I know cycling has given me quality of life that my exercise has allowed. Along with my wife's massive garden plans, digging, fencing etc are a breeze physically punctuated with cups of coffee and great nutrition. Rock on Active people!!
When I was young, I used to exercise 2–3 times a day ,but now I exercise maybe once a week.
Total Legend! Thanks Doc 🙂 ❤
I think a better word choice here is physical activity, not necessarily exercise which makes it harder than it is for many
Does anyone else notice you can minimise the videos on this channel and still video will continue playing in minimize mode without subscribing premium , is this happening with everyone or just me
I want you to tell how to consist on training and even through stressing from neighbours??
I thank G-D for your channel & you, Dr. Marks. So many excellent videos to share.
🩷 Love It, thanks for sharing.
Namasté 🙏🏻
I try to hit the treadmill every morning nothing crazy enough to get the blood flow and would you know I’m ready to log on and take on the workday – in the evening I do the heavy strength training and that usually gives me deeper sleep 😊 it’s a win win at times
I always enjoy your videos. Thanks.
Funny when nothing is fun to you
I love jumping rope
I exercise on a regular basis (3 days a week) and I have to say I don't feel hardly any of these benefits
Watching this during my pre-jog stretch. Thanks doc!
Public announcement guyz Jesus is coming very soon REPENT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE Emphasis on SOON
Interesting. It's fun to exercise. When you swim, you have to use your whole body and the lot of your brain.
Real Talk… I know this to be true from experience. By the way, I love the way you break down the dynamics of things to simple terms. In other words, you make it make sense. 😊
Wow I knew I felt better when I started just walking around the block. This video is confirmation
Very áudio languange❤
I keep telling people that exercise is key especially cardio… and you can tell they don't really want to hear it but I'm not going to quit. I know what it does! It is life changing.
