Kyle Bamberough, 24, of Frosterley Gardens, Annfield Plain, appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on June 4.

Bamberough admitted persistently making use of a public electronic communications network for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to another on February 21, in Chester-le-Street.

He also pleaded guilty to resisting a police constable in the execution of his duty on the same day.

Bamberough received a community order, supervised by the County Durham and Darlington Youth Court, lasting until December 3, 2027.

The order requires compliance with any instructions of the responsible officer to attend appointments (with the responsible officer or someone else nominated by them), or to participate in any activity as required by the responsible officer up to a maximum of 18 days.

A guilty plea was taken into account by the court.

Bamberough was also ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
