BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. – The Butte County Department of Behavioral Health on Tuesday announced the relocation of the Chico Stepping Stones and Chico Community Counseling Center to a newly expanded facility.

Butte County says that the move to 254 Cohasset Road, Suites 100 and 150, will allow the department to better serve the community by increasing its capacity to provide vital behavioral health services.

The new facility offers comprehensive outpatient substance use treatment and recovery support specifically for pregnant and parenting mothers.

On-site services include dedicated mental health assessment, therapy and case management for children and families.

“This project is a testament to Butte County’s commitment to serve its residents,” Director Scott Kennelly said. “While we excitedly celebrate this milestone, we also look forward to receiving the 2022 State grant funds from the California Department of Health Care Services to apply to the project costs.”

The Butte County Department of Behavioral Health has invited the public to join a grand opening celebration on June 8 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Officials say the event marks an important milestone in the county’s commitment to enhancing accessible behavioral health care in Butte County.

Butte County says that services are no longer available at the previous location at 109 Parmac Road.
