lies, ECT destroyed my intelligence and memory
These are lies. It destroys chunks of memories and does not cure depression. Doctors talk about short term memory loss, the truth is it permanently destroys long term memory also. No-one willingly rushes in to have ECT treatments often. Doctors are the ones who recommend & push these treatments because there is much money to made by doctors, hospitals, anesthesiologists, etc. from performing them. It is despicable the lies that are told to patients to get them to consent to the procedures. The tragedy is that ECT does not cure depression. These two should be ashamed of themselves for pushing propaganda, all in the name of continually making money from suffering people who are looking for hope & a permanent cure, not just temporary relief.
